Johnson Water Improvement District - East System Improvements Project - Tank Phase

Background

The Johnson Water Improvement District (JWID) is seeking statements of qualification (SOQ) from qualified contractors for the construction of the East System Improvements Project – Tank Phase, 2026. This project aims to pre-qualify contractors who will later be invited to participate in a cost bidding phase, with the contract awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Funding for the project will be provided by the Community Impact Board (CIB).

Work Details

The project includes the construction of a 200,000-gallon concrete tank and all associated features. This encompasses a valve/meter bunker that will include all valves, meters, and pipes for inlet, outlet, and overflow lines. The piping outside of the vault for these lines will range from 6” to 10” in diameter with a total length of approximately 350 feet.

Period of Performance

Construction is anticipated to begin as early as the contractor is able, depending on weather and materials availability. The project is expected to have a contract duration of 120 calendar days with completion anticipated by October 1, 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Johnson Water Office located at 3748 W UT-87, Roosevelt, UT 84066.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Utah. Minimum requirements for pre-qualification include sufficient bonding capacity to complete the project and the ability to meet the required deadline. Contractors must achieve a minimum score of 90 out of 100 points based on evaluation criteria related to company history, relevant experience, workforce availability, and references.
