Background

The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife is issuing a solicitation for the Lon Hagler SWA - Nut Hut and Office Remodel project. The goal of this contract is to convert the existing open floor plan of the Nut Hut into two enclosed offices with shared workspace. Additionally, the project aims to replace the existing drop ceiling with new wood joists and drywall, enhancing the functionality of the Nut Hut for better operational efficiency.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: 1. Demolition, removal, and disposal of existing building materials to facilitate the remodel. 2. Interior framing including stud walls, door and window framing, headers, joists, and fasteners. 3. Installation of wall finishes, windows, window sills, doors, hardware, door trim, and exterior metal paneling. 4. Installation of all electrical systems and fixtures including lights, switches, outlets, and split system A/C units along with all related materials required for complete installation. 5. Protection of existing structure during construction. 6. Any additional materials or supplies necessary for the complete remodel in accordance with bid documents.

Period of Performance

The work shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, which is tentatively scheduled for July 27, 2026.

The project will take place at Lon Hagler SWA located at 4207 W CR 16E Loveland, CO 80537 in Larimer County.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered to do business in Colorado and provide a Certificate of Good Standing. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) may claim a 5% bid preference if they are registered with the Center for Veteran Enterprise within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Proof of insurance must be provided upon contract execution including coverage for workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability.
