Roof Replacement @ Metro

Background

The Little Rock School District is seeking sealed bids from qualified licensed contractors for a roof replacement project at the Metropolitan VoTech facility. The goal of this contract is to ensure the successful replacement of the roofing system, which is critical for maintaining the integrity and functionality of the educational environment.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the complete roof replacement at Metropolitan VoTech, located at 7701 Scott Hamilton Dr. The work includes but is not limited to: - Removal of existing roofing materials. - Installation of new roofing system as per specifications outlined in the bid documents. - Replacement of wood blocking if necessary (300 bd.ft). - Replacement of unit lightweight concrete decking if necessary (100 sq.ft). - All work must comply with local building codes and regulations. - Contractors must provide their own equipment, including extension ladders, for safe roof access during inspections and evaluations.

Period of Performance

The contractor shall begin work upon receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete all work no later than 180 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Metropolitan VoTech, 7701 Scott Hamilton Dr., Little Rock, Arkansas.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed contractors in accordance with Arkansas Contractor’s Licensing Board regulations. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for all potential bidders on June 16, 2026. Bidders must also submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount and provide proof of insurance within five business days after bid opening. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) in their proposals.
