Fire Station 10 Reroof and Seismic Upgrade

Background

The City of Eugene is issuing a solicitation for the Eugene Fire Station 10 Reroof project, located at 2002 Bailey Hill Road, Eugene, Oregon. The project aims to replace the existing roofing system and perform necessary upgrades while ensuring that the fire station remains operational during construction. The goal is to enhance the facility's safety and functionality.

Work Details

The project includes the following work: - Replacing approximately 3,150 square feet of single-ply roofing with a new PVC membrane system. - Complete removal of the existing roofing system. - Repair of the existing roof deck as necessary. - Installation of new tapered insulation crickets. - Installation of new safety tie-off mounts. - Installation of a new parapet ladder. - Replacement of an existing mechanical rooftop unit with a new owner-procured unit and site-built roof curb. - Isolated siding replacement in specific areas. - Replacement of exposed fasteners in approximately 2,350 square feet of metal roofing. Additionally, voluntary upgrades to roof-to-wall diaphragm connections are included. The contractor must coordinate work and staging to minimize disruption to emergency response activities.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to commence upon award and is anticipated to be completed within the timeline specified in the Summary of Work section. Bids are due by June 23, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701. A bid security of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is required. Bidders must also submit a First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Statement within two hours after bid opening. A full-time on-site superintendent must be provided throughout the project duration. Compliance with BOLI prevailing wage requirements is mandatory.
