Amtrak Rail Station Roof Replacement

Background

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Amtrak Rail Station Roof Replacement project. The purpose of this contract is to establish a comprehensive agreement for the replacement of the roof at the Amtrak Train Station in Salem, Oregon. This project aims to ensure the structural integrity and waterproofing of the station's roof, thereby supporting ODOT's mission to maintain safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.

Work Details

The work under this contract includes: 1. Removal of the existing worn-out membrane roofing, with disposal conducted per industry standards. 2. Replacement of any damaged or wet insulation. 3. Installation of new membrane material according to manufacturer specifications to ensure waterproofing. 4. Removal and potential reuse of existing parapet wall cap metal, with a requirement for careful handling to maximize reuse.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion expected by August 10, 2026, and final completion by September 10, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Amtrak Train Station located at 500 13th Street SE, Salem, OR 97301.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in OregonBuys and licensed with the State Construction Contractors Board (CCB) prior to bidding on public improvement contracts. Additionally, all subcontractors must also be licensed before commencing work under this contract. Bidders are required to submit a bid security equal to 10% of their total bid amount and must comply with prevailing wage requirements as set forth by the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI).
