Door Replacements at WPC Facility

Background

The City of Cedar Rapids Utilities Department is seeking bids for the furnishing, removing, and replacing of interior and exterior doors at the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPC). This project aims to enhance the facility's operational efficiency and safety by updating its door systems. The contract is part of the city's ongoing commitment to maintain and improve public infrastructure.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Furnishing various sizes and types of interior and exterior doors as specified in the Scope of Work document. 2. Removing existing doors as necessary. 3. Installing new doors in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. 4. Ensuring that all work meets the specifications outlined in the bid documents, including any required permits and inspections.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will end on June 30, 2027. There is an option for renewal for four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Water Pollution Control Facility located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a Certification Regarding Ability to Obtain Required Insurance as part of their submission. The contractor must also comply with local business preferences under the Buy Local Program, which gives preference to businesses located within Linn County that have submitted a notarized Local Business Certificate.
