Public Works Road Resurfacing

Background

The City of Columbia is issuing this solicitation for the Public Works Road Resurfacing project, identified as BID033-25-26-WRO. The goal of this contract is to enhance the road infrastructure within the city, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for its residents. The project aims to resurface multiple streets, thereby improving road conditions and extending the lifespan of existing roadways.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following services: 1. Mill to 2" Gutter Reveal on Brassington Lane (Quantity: 1545 SY), Kimberly Street (Quantity: 3089 SY), and Fitzgibbon Drive (Quantity: 1867 SY). 2. Apply 2" Compacted Hot Mixed Asphalt Surface Type C on the same streets with corresponding quantities. 3. Apply Temporary and Permanent Markings (Quantity: 2 LS for Brassington Lane, 1 LS for Kimberly Street, and 3 LS for Fitzgibbon Drive). 4. Traffic Control measures will be required throughout the project duration (Quantity: 1 LS for each street). Additionally, Mobilization costs are capped at a maximum of 5% of the total contract amount.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by July 22, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in various locations within Columbia, SC, specifically on Brassington Lane, Kimberly Street, and Fitzgibbon Drive.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a list of all subcontractors and vendors involved in the project as per Appendix requirements. They should also ensure compliance with minority business enterprise certifications where applicable.
