Work Clothing - Public Works

Background

The City of Pawtucket is seeking companies to supply work clothing for their employees, specifically for the Public Works Department. The contract is intended to last for three years, with the possibility of two additional one-year extensions at the City's discretion. The goal of this contract is to ensure that city employees are provided with appropriate work attire that meets safety and operational requirements.

Work Details

The contractor will provide various types of work clothing as specified in the solicitation. The items required include: - Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirts (Gildan Model 2000) in Safety Green and Blue - 100 pieces - Crew Neck Short Sleeve Pocket T-Shirts (Gildan Model 2300) in Safety Green and Blue - 24 pieces - Crew Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirts (Gildan Model 2400) in Safety Green and Blue - 75 pieces - Cooling Performance Short Sleeve T-Shirts (A4N3142) in Safety Yellow and Blue - 75 pieces - Cooling Performance Long Sleeve T-Shirts (A4N3165) in Safety Yellow and Blue - 50 pieces - Crew Neck Sweatshirts (Gildan Model 18000) in Safety Green and Blue - 24 pieces - Zip Up Sweatshirts (Gildan Model 18600) in Safety Green and Blue - 30 pieces - Pullover Sweatshirts (Gildan Model 12500) in Safety Green and Blue - 30 pieces - Heavy Weight Thermal Sweatshirt Zip Up (Dry Duck 7033) in Black, Oxford, Navy - 18 pieces - Challenger Jackets (SRJ754) in Safety Green - 20 pieces - Various styles of pants including Regular Fit Jeans, Carpenter Jeans, Dickies Work Pants, etc. Additionally, small piece orders will be placed throughout the year for new hires, typically consisting of about four to five items per employee. All items must be delivered within thirty days of order receipt.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract is three years, with options for two additional one-year extensions at the City's discretion.

Place of Performance

All items will be delivered to Pawtucket Public Works located at 250 Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket, RI 02860.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all federal, state, and local laws. They must provide a bid surety in the form of a bid bond or certified check for at least five percent of the bid price. Vendors must be distributors of the specified brands and cannot substitute brands or items. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to have a valid City Business License and a fixed business location within Pawtucket.
