Summary: Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the maintenance of Pearce Ferry Road, which is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The mission of the NPS includes preserving natural and cultural resources while providing recreational opportunities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the ongoing maintenance and repair of approximately 7 miles of gravel roadway to enhance safety and accessibility for visitors. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for grading and maintaining Pearce Ferry Road, which is approximately 40 feet wide. The work includes: - Grading/smoothing the road every five weeks (totaling eight times) to prevent corrugation. - Watering and compacting the dirt/gravel road before, during, and after each maintenance session for dust control. - Maintaining and cleaning existing crown, super-elevation, ditches, and culverts during each maintenance to ensure proper drainage. - Providing all necessary civil materials, labor, and equipment for the completion of these tasks. Period of Performance The contract period will commence on July 1, 2026, and conclude on April 7, 2027. There are also options for additional years of maintenance work extending through 2031.
