Background

The City of Hammond is seeking competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide building demolition services for the removal of improvements and clean-up of a site located at 2804-B Garner St., Hammond, Louisiana. The goal of this contract is to ensure the demolition work is performed in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and codes established by the City of Hammond.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Demolition and removal of all buildings and structures on the site, including accessory buildings and all associated trash and debris. 2. Disconnection of utilities (electric and water) in accordance with city requirements before commencing demolition. 3. Sealing of all sewers and laterals at the property line with concrete. 4. Conducting demolition work only between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., excluding legal holidays, Sundays, and inclement weather days. 5. Completion of all work within ten (10) calendar days from the date of execution of the notice to proceed. 6. Obtaining necessary permits for project completion. 7. Implementing safety measures to protect persons and property during demolition operations, including prohibitions on explosives and weighted balls for demolition.
