Background

The City of Hammond is seeking qualified contractors to provide building demolition services for the removal of improvements and cleanup of a site located at 615 Barn St., Hammond, Louisiana. The goal of this contract is to ensure the demolition work is performed in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and codes established by the City of Hammond.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Demolition and removal of all buildings and structures at the site, including accessory buildings and associated debris. 2. Disconnection of utilities (electric and water) prior to demolition. 3. Sealing of all sewers and downspout laterals at the property line with concrete. 4. Backfilling excavated areas with suitable material and grading for positive surface drainage. 5. Installation of erosion control measures to prevent silt runoff during construction activities. 6. Proper disposal of all demolition debris at a licensed landfill or recycling center, with receipts required as proof of disposal.

Period of Performance
