Pump 5 & Pump 6 Upgrades at the Industrial Water Plant

Background

The Jackson County Port Authority is seeking bids for the construction of upgrades to Pump 5 and Pump 6 at the Industrial Water Plant. The goal of this project is to enhance the operational efficiency of the water plant by upgrading existing pump systems.

Work Details

The project includes the following work: - Replacement of existing pump motors from 500 horsepower to 700 horsepower using the existing frames. - Increasing impeller sizes while utilizing the existing pump housings. - Replacing any wear parts such as bearings and seals. Additionally, electrical cables leading to the switchgear will be replaced, along with necessary upgrades to the switchgear.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to be completed by June 18, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Industrial Water Plant located in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
