Admin Building Roofing

Background

The Huron Intermediate School District is seeking bids for the Admin Building Roofing project. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary roofing services as outlined in the specifications and drawings prepared by the Architect and Construction Manager. R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. is designated as the Construction Manager for this project.

Work Details

The contract involves all trades work related to roofing, specifically: 1) Removal of existing roof panels from designated areas behind and beside the main entrance; 2) Inspection and addition of new underlayment as required; 3) Installation of a 60 mil Duro Tuff membrane on the cricket and through valleys extending up the roof slope a minimum of 36 inches from the valley; 4) Extension of a 12-inch strip of Duro Tuff membrane down both sides of the entrance dormer side walls; 5) Termination of roof membrane as required; 6) Installation of new metal roof panels in designated areas; 7) Installation of new metal trims and closures for a watertight application; 8) Installation of new water divertors as required; 9) Termination of panels on the high side of valleys using offset cleats sealed with mastic; and 10) Complete cleanup and removal of all job-related debris. Bidders are responsible for repairs to any landscaping, sidewalks, or parking lots affected by their operations.

Period of Performance

The project is scheduled to begin in June 2026 and must be completed by August 24, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Huron Intermediate School District, located at 1299 S. Thomas Rd., Bad Axe, MI 48413.

Bidder Requirements

Bids exceeding $50,000 must include a certified check or bid bond from an approved surety company for at least five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bidders are encouraged to use minority subcontractors where possible. All bidders must submit a Familial Disclosure Statement with their bid.
