Background The Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Hawaii is the largest military hospital in the Asian and Pacific Rim region and serves a diverse beneficiary population. The mission of the military healthcare system is to ensure a healthy military force supported by a combat-ready healthcare system. This solicitation seeks to acquire on-call, as-needed interventional cardiologist services to contribute to the stable workforce at TAMC's Department of Medicine, Cardiology Services. Work Details The contractor shall provide non-personal services of an Interventional Cardiologist (IC) Physician at TAMC. Responsibilities include: 1. On-call clinical, diagnostic, and consultative IC services. 2. Providing telephone consultation services to TAMC staff cardiologists at no additional charge per call. 3. Performing procedures such as coronary angiography, catheterizations, and stent placements as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). 4. Participating in the MTF after-hours on-call schedule, being available for consultations or procedures related to their specialty. 5. Providing on-site consultations for patients referred for evaluation. 6. Maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations including The Joint Commission standards and Department of Defense directives. Period of Performance The contract has a 6-month base period from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with options for additional years extending through December 31, 2030. Place of Performance Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. Bidder Requirements This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. Bidders must have a valid unrestricted medical license in one of the U.S. jurisdictions and be Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty Board Certifications in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Additionally, contractors must provide evidence of malpractice insurance prior to contract award and meet all credentialing requirements outlined in the PWS.
