Background

The Berrien County Health Department is seeking bids for the development of its 2027-2029 Strategic Plan. This initiative aims to guide the agency's activities over the next three years, building upon past successes while addressing the evolving needs of the community. The department's mission is to prevent disease, prolong life, protect community health, and promote an optimal quality of life for Berrien County residents. The strategic plan will focus on areas such as community trust building, employee satisfaction, workforce development, and technology utilization.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for creating a comprehensive strategic plan that includes: 1. Assessing and identifying existing partners and resources within the community. 2. Establishing outreach programs utilizing public health resources through mobile units and pop-up events. 3. Developing a calendar of community events that the health department will attend or host. 4. Creating a comprehensive onboarding plan for new hires and assessing training needs across divisions. 5. Implementing user-friendly software solutions to improve workflow and customer satisfaction. 6. Conducting stakeholder engagement sessions to gather input on the strategic plan.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from July 15, 2026, through July 15, 2029.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at various locations within Berrien County, Michigan.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must not be an Iran-linked business as per Michigan Public Act 517 of 2012 and must provide written certification confirming this status with their bid submission. Additionally, bidders are required to submit two copies of their bid proposal.
