Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking Services

Background

School District U-46, located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, serves over 34,000 students across 57 schools and programs. The district is seeking proposals for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking services to enhance its communication infrastructure. The goal of this contract is to provide reliable SIP trunking services delivered over dedicated, carrier-managed transport networks across two core locations within the district.

Work Details

The contractor will provide SIP trunking services that include: - A centralized, geographically redundant deployment model terminating directly at two designated data centers: Educational Services Center Data Center and Kenyon Woods Middle School Data Center. - Strict adherence to independent carrier transport protocols, prohibiting Over-the-Top (OTT) SIP services. - Dynamic failover routing capabilities ensuring seamless traffic management between the two sites based on area code traffic. - Provision of dedicated fiber circuits capable of supporting a minimum of 400 Concurrent Call Sessions (CCS) across both sites. - Compliance with E911 infrastructure requirements for accurate location tracking during emergencies. - Full support for fax protocols and custom Caller ID functionalities. - Monthly itemized billing and warranty information for equipment provided.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon approval by the U-46 Board or upon notice of award and will last for a term of three to five years, with no automatic renewal.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at two locations: 1. Educational Services Center Data Center located at 355 E. Chicago St., Elgin, IL 60120 2. Kenyon Woods Middle School Data Center located at 1515 Raymond St., South Elgin, IL 60177.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance. They are also required to submit a completed Bid Form including detailed pricing information and must have experience providing similar services. Additionally, bidders should acknowledge compliance with all specifications outlined in the RFP.
