Hunting and Trapping Privileges on School Lands

The Terrebonne Parish School Board is seeking sealed bids for the granting of hunting and trapping privileges on Section 16 Lands. The work of the contract involves securing exclusive rights for hunting and trapping activities on these designated school lands. Sealed bids are being requested by the Terrebonne Parish School Board, in accordance with LA R.S. 17:87.8. This contract pertains to Section 16 Lands originally allocated to the School Board by the State of Louisiana. Please note, the School Board does not guarantee that all acreage listed is land; portions of the property may consist of water bottoms associated with bayous, canals, or ditches, and may have experienced land loss due to erosion. Requirements for this contract include: Bids must be submitted on the official bid forms. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit equal to 100% of the first-year rental amount, submitted as a certified check, cashier's check, teller's check, or official bank check made payable to the Terrebonne Parish School Board. The deposit will be returned to unsuccessful bidders or credited to the successful bidder. However, if a successful bidder declines the bid award, the deposit will be non-refundable. Bids must be received by the Purchasing Department no later than 1:30 PM on July 9, 2026. Late bids will not be accepted.
