Background

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (Board) is soliciting bids from companies to supply Hand Tools, Hardware Supplies, Paint & Paint Supplies. This contract aims to ensure the availability of essential tools and supplies for the Board's operations, supporting its mission to provide water and sewer services in New Orleans.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for supplying various hand tools, hardware supplies, paint, and paint supplies as specified in the solicitation. The items include but are not limited to: 1. Lawn and gardening tools (e.g., shovels, rakes, hoes) from manufacturers like True Temper and Razor-Back. 2. Water and fire hose accessories including washers, gaskets, hydrant spanner wrenches, hose adaptors & nozzles. 3. Specific quantities and models are detailed in the bid form sections with estimated quantities provided for each item.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will begin upon execution of the contract and will last for one year, with options for three one-year renewals based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Deliveries shall be made to the Sewerage and Water Board’s Central Yard located at 2900 Peoples Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the Economically Disadvantaged Business Program (DBE) requirements set by the Board. A minimum DBE participation goal of 30% is established for this contract. Bidders must submit required forms including the EDBP Participation Summary Sheet and Acknowledgement of Negotiated Terms Form.
