Nutrition Services Fresh Pizza Delivery

Background

The State of Delaware, specifically the Caesar Rodney School District (CRSD), is seeking proposals for Nutrition Services focused on Fresh Pizza Delivery. The goal of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify qualified vendors who can prepare and deliver fresh pizza on a bi-weekly basis to 12 schools within the district. This initiative aims to provide students with appealing and nutritious meal options while ensuring compliance with National School Lunch Program (NSLP) nutritional standards.

Work Details

Vendors are required to provide fresh pizza deliveries on a bi-weekly schedule:

Tuesdays for Caesar Rodney High School

- Wednesdays for four middle schools (Fifer Middle, Postlethwait, Magnolia, and Dover Air Base Middle) - Thursdays for seven elementary schools (McIlvaine ECC, W. B. Simpson, Star Hill, Allen Frear/Charlton, W. Reily Brown, David E. Robinson, and Nellie Stokes). The vendor must ensure that all products meet USDA guidelines and CRSD policies. Proposals must include pricing for items listed in the Pricing Form (Appendix B) and comply with technical requirements outlined in Appendix A.

Period of Performance

The contract will be valid for one year from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027. It may be renewed for up to four additional one-year periods through negotiation between the vendor and CRSD.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will occur at various locations within the Caesar Rodney School District in Wyoming, Delaware.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with specific requirements including providing a Food Safety Plan/Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), demonstrating capacity to deliver across multiple sites, and submitting three business references. Subcontracting is not permitted under this RFP. Vendors must also complete registration through the Delaware Supplier Portal.
