Background

The El Paso County Hospital District, operating as the University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC), is seeking a General Contractor for the renovation of the 7th floor Isotope Room. This project aims to convert an existing ADA patient room and ante room into a specialized Nuclear Medicine Isotope Room. The renovation will include critical upgrades to HVAC infrastructure and negative pressure systems to comply with state healthcare licensing and containment requirements.

Work Details

The General Contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and services required for the construction project. Key tasks include: - Renovation of an existing ADA patient room and ante room into a Nuclear Medicine Isotope Room. - Execution of critical HVAC infrastructure upgrades. - Implementation of negative pressure upgrades to meet healthcare standards. - Compliance with all state healthcare licensing requirements and containment protocols as outlined in Exhibit B (Scope of Work).

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and continue until the completion of the renovation project, with specific timelines detailed in subsequent project documents.
