Background

The Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) is seeking bids for the procurement of Cereal, 7-9 Grain. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to purchase goods that will be delivered to ODOC’s Central Distribution Center located in Salem, Oregon. This procurement is conducted under the authority of ORS 421.438 and OAR 291-164-0120.

Work Details

The contract involves the supply of Cereal, 7-9 Grain, which must meet specific requirements: it should be Type V other (multi-grain), Style A Quick Cooking, and unflavored (no malt). The product must contain a minimum of five different whole and refined grain types. An estimated one Full Truck Load (FTL) of approximately 40,000 pounds is required for this item. Delivery must occur within 45 days after receipt of order or as scheduled by warehouse staff. All deliveries must comply with FDA/USDA standards and be packaged in accordance with the specifications outlined in the ITB.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Purchase Order and will continue until all goods have been delivered and accepted by ODOC.

Place of Performance

Goods are to be delivered to the Oregon Department of Corrections’ Central Distribution Center located at 3601 State Street, Salem, OR 97301.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to the provision of goods under this contract. They are required to provide proof of compliance with tax laws as specified in Section 2.3.2.9. Additionally, bidders must submit a current Certificate of Liability Insurance within seven days from the time of contract award.
