Background

South Coast Transit Management, Inc. (SCTM) is a sub-corporation of Transdev operating under a management contract with Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA). SCTM provides fixed route and demand response transportation in the greater New Bedford area, funded by both federal and state sources.

Work Details

SCTM requires a one-year contract for the delivery of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to two maintenance facilities. The DEF must be delivered every two weeks in bulk to a 500-gallon container supplied by SCTM. Deliveries will occur at the Fall River Maintenance Facility located at 601 Brayton Avenue, Fall River, MA 02721, and the New Bedford Maintenance Facility located at 65 Potomska Street, New Bedford, MA 02740. Deliveries must take place Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The total amount of DEF delivered over the year should not exceed 15,000 gallons for both locations. The DEF must be a urea solution consisting of 32.5% high purity urea and 67.5% deionized water. Additionally, all delivered DEF must meet ISO22241 specifications and emergency deliveries may be required.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a one-year period.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with procurement guidelines set forth by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), demonstrating responsiveness and responsibility. Vendors are required to sign off on applicable Federal Clauses. SCTM is exempt from Massachusetts sales tax; therefore, bidders should not include sales tax in their proposal figures.
