Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract to procure a NuTrace Laser marking device and associated training services for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. The goal of this contract is to enhance the traceability of reusable medical devices, improve reprocessing workflows, and ensure compliance with industry standards, ultimately facilitating safe and effective care for Veterans. This contract is awarded as a sole source to a vendor capable of providing brand name products as specified in the solicitation. Work Details The contractor shall provide the following equipment and services: 1. NuTrace NUX-20 NG laser unit (1 EA) - Includes a computer/laptop with Windows 10 and supporting accessories - Fumex fume/odor extractor equipment - FA1-M-NuTrace Select & Mark templates for different instrument materials with GS1 Codes - Safety glasses for class 4 laser operation - Electropolishing unit with proprietary solution Ratero 2. Laser Start Up Training (1 JB) - Up to 32 hours of training online and on-site for two staff members, leading to certification from the Laser Institute of America (LIA). - Training includes marking surgical instruments with unique device identifiers across various materials including stainless steel, anodized aluminum, titanium, and plastics. 3. Trade-in for the return of an existing NUX20 Laser. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at. Place of Performance Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, Sterile Processing Services (SPS), 6900 North Pecos Road, Room 2D418, Las Vegas, NV 89086. Bidder Requirements This opportunity is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Bidders must be authorized distributors or manufacturers of the specified brand name products.
