Summary: Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement and repair of a storm-damaged corrugated metal shade cover at the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge located at 12812 N. Wildlife Way, Yuma, AZ 85365. The goal of this contract is to restore the structural integrity and functional weather protection of the existing shade structure, which has been compromised due to storm damage. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the complete replacement and repair of the storm-damaged corrugated metal shade cover. Specific tasks include: - Replacement of one damaged 12'4" 3"x3" steel post at the northwest corner, ensuring proper anchoring, alignment, and painting to match existing structures. - Reuse of all remaining structurally sound existing posts. - Removal and disposal of all damaged roofing materials, steel members, and associated debris. - Replacement of all existing 7-inch I-beams with new structural steel members that have equal or greater load ratings. The project magnitude is less than $25,000. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from July 6, 2026, to August 3, 2026. Place of Performance Imperial National Wildlife Refuge-12812 N. Wildlife Way, Yuma, AZ 85365. Bidder Requirements This is a small business set-aside contract. Bidders must be licensed, bonded, and insured in the State of Arizona with experience in structural steel and metal roofing installation/repair including welding and fabrication. Additionally, any award over $35,000 requires submission of a Payment Bond; amounts over $150,000 require both payment and performance bonds.
