Joe T. Robinson Force Main Improvements

Background

The Joe T. Robinson Force Main Improvement project is issued by the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority (LRWRA), which is responsible for managing wastewater treatment and reclamation in Little Rock, Arkansas. The goal of this contract is to enhance the sanitary sewer infrastructure by relocating an existing force main and rehabilitating associated manholes, thereby improving service reliability in the residential area adjacent to Joe T. Robinson High School.

Work Details

The project involves the installation of a new sanitary sewer force main, specifically a relocation of an existing sewer force main. The scope includes: - Approximately 2422 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE DR11 force main installed using open-cut construction. - 339 linear feet of a 14-inch steel encased jack & bore to house the 8-inch force main where it crosses Bronte Court. - Rehabilitation of associated manholes. - Installation of required fittings and valves. - Mobilization and site restoration. - All incidental work necessary for project completion.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within the specified timeframe following the bid opening on July 7, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Little Rock, Arkansas, specifically in the residential area located on the east side of Joe T. Robinson High School.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a cashier’s check or certified check equal to at least five percent of the total maximum bid price or a bid bond from a reliable surety company. Bidders must also furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for one hundred percent of the contract price from an approved surety company licensed in Arkansas. Compliance with Arkansas Law for public works construction is required, as well as adherence to Executive Order 11246 regarding non-discrimination.
