Maintenance, Repair & Integration of Highway Video & Traffic Data Transport Sys

Background

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is seeking contractors to provide maintenance, repair, and integration services for the Client Agency's Transport System along State Highways. The goal is to ensure the Transport System operates according to the original manufacturer's specifications, facilitating monitoring, detection, and management of incidents, road work, congestion, weather events, and Amber Alerts on highways.

Work Details

Contractors will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Transport System. This includes ensuring that all components are functioning as intended and meet the manufacturer's specifications. The services provided must include integration tasks that enhance the system's capabilities in monitoring highway conditions and incidents. Specific tasks may involve working with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), fiber optic communications systems, video encoding/decoding equipment installation, and configuring various communication protocols.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on June 6, 2026, and conclude on July 10, 2026.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed along State Highways in Connecticut.

Bidder Requirements

All vendors are eligible to respond to this bid. Contractors must demonstrate experience with ITS projects involving fiber optic systems and have a minimum of 8 years in ITS system integration projects. They must also provide documentation of their technical support personnel's qualifications and experience in relevant areas.
