Workers' Compensation Third Party Administrator and Managed Care

Background

The Jersey City Public School District is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administration and Managed-Care Cost Containment Services for the District’s Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation program. This proposal is subject to the terms of the New Jersey Public Contracts Law and falls within the definition of 'Extraordinary Unspecifiable Services' (EUS).

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administration and Managed-Care Cost Containment Services. This includes managing claims, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and implementing cost containment strategies. The services must align with the specifications outlined in the proposal documents. The contract may not exceed three years, with options for one or two additional year extensions based on funding availability.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with potential extensions based on annual appropriations.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed for the Jersey City Public School District located at 346 Claremont Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07305.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and submit a Statement of Ownership detailing any ownership interests. A Non-Collusion affidavit is required. Bidders must also provide proof of a valid Business Registration Certificate and adhere to insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, Cyber Security Liability, and Workers Compensation Insurance as specified.
