Central Emergency Station #1 - Gym Equipment Procurement

Background

The Kenai Peninsula Borough is seeking qualified firms to submit proposals for the procurement of gym equipment for the new Central Emergency Services Fire Station #1. This initiative aims to provide essential exercise and gym equipment for First Responders, enabling them to maintain physical fitness and perform endurance testing relevant to their duties.

Work Details

The contract involves furnishing, delivering, assembling, and installing a complete commercial-grade fitness equipment package suitable for high-intensity use by multiple users. The equipment must support training activities with and without firefighting personal protective equipment (PPE) and accommodate user weights exceeding 350 pounds. It should also include a minimum five-year manufacturer warranty. The specific items required include various types of gym equipment such as squat stations, dip bars, training plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, strength bands, and cardio machines like treadmills and ellipticals. Proposals may include substitutions that meet or exceed specified performance and durability requirements.

Period of Performance

The services are expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and terminate on July 30, 2026. There is potential for extension for two additional one-year periods by mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Central Emergency Services Station #1 located in Soldotna, Alaska.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the Kenai Peninsula Borough Code of Ordinances regarding tax compliance. They are encouraged to be registered as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) or hold similar certifications. Additionally, bidders must provide copies of all necessary licenses and certifications required for performance under the contract.
