Summary: Background The Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG) is conducting market research for HVAC Cleaning and Insulation Repair Services at JBPHH-HI. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to identify vendors capable of fulfilling the requirements to support a competitive procurement process. The project aims to improve indoor air quality, enhance system hygiene, and increase the thermal efficiency of the HVAC system within Building 3400. The mechanical systems in this building have experienced significant wear, leading to issues such as poor indoor air quality, increased energy costs, asset damage, and potential system failures. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to perform HVAC Cleaning and Insulation Repair Services. Specific tasks include: 1) Comprehensive cleaning of HVAC ductwork serving the ground floor, including all supply, return, and exhaust ducts associated with four Air Handler Units (AHUs). 2) Thorough cleaning of all four AHUs on the ground floor. 3) Repairing identified leaks in the chilled water lines to ensure watertight integrity. 4) Installing new insulation on chilled water lines according to manufacturer recommendations. 5) Lawfully disposing of all removed materials and construction debris. All work must comply with applicable Federal and State codes and regulations. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the construction projects will be performed (if provided). Bidder Requirements Bidders are required to have appropriate contractor licensing for HVAC systems technicians as per State of Hawaii regulations.
