Background

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the implementation of a cloud-based application or applications to support data management and incident command functions. This initiative aims to enhance the agency's operational capabilities in managing public health emergencies and other incidents effectively.

Work Details

The contract involves the development and implementation of a web-based preparedness application that will facilitate data management and incident command functions. Specific requirements include: - Cloud-based architecture to ensure accessibility and scalability. - User-friendly interface for ease of use by state employees and other stakeholders. - Integration capabilities with existing systems used by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. - Compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards for accessibility. - Provision for ongoing maintenance and support services post-deployment.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon final signature and will last for three (3) years, with an option to renew for two (2) additional twelve-month periods.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed primarily in Topeka, Kansas, with potential remote work capabilities as required by the project.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with various certifications including: - Certification that the company is not currently engaged in a boycott of goods or services from Israel. - Compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA). - Submission of a Tax Clearance Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue. - Adherence to policies regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation as mandated by state law.
