The County of Hawai'i is seeking bids for the procurement of a ROAD MARKINGS STRIPING TRUCK to support the Public Works Traffic Division. Work Details

The contract involves furnishing and delivering one (1) ROAD MARKINGS STRIPING TRUCK similar or equal to the MRL Model 4-4000 Thermoplastic Striping Truck mounted on a Peterbilt 520 chassis. The truck must be capable of applying various roadway markings using thermoplastic materials and glass beads. Key specifications include: - A new heavy-duty chassis with a minimum GVWR of 56,000 lbs, equipped with a PACCAR MX-11 diesel engine (minimum 430 horsepower) and Allison 4500 RDS automatic transmission. - A thermoplastic melter system with a capacity of 4,000 pounds, including two independently controlled pre-melting kettles. - A material delivery system with hydraulically driven pumps and heated transfer valves. - A glass bead system with a minimum capacity of 1,500 pounds. - An electronic striping control system with independent operator control stations. - Onsite training in Hilo, Hawai'i for operators and maintenance personnel, including initial and follow-up sessions.

Period of Performance

The delivery of the striping truck must occur within 180 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.
