Background

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is issuing this contract for the procurement of six (6) Single Axle Dump Trucks with hydraulic powered loader attachments. This procurement supports IDOT's mission to maintain and enhance field operations, particularly in tasks involving road and construction site debris clean-up, maintenance, and other heavy-lifting needs critical to transportation infrastructure. The contract aims to ensure that all goods and services meet IDOT's specifications and performance standards for reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Work Details

The contract involves the one-time purchase of six (6) new Single Axle Dump Trucks equipped with hydraulic powered loader attachments. The trucks must be newly manufactured and compliant with all applicable federal and state motor vehicle safety standards. Remanufactured or reconditioned equipment will not be accepted. The trucks must include all standard equipment as advertised by the manufacturer, without any deletions or substitutions unless explicitly permitted. The vendor is responsible for providing a manufacturer's warranty that meets or exceeds public offerings on similar models. Delivery must occur F.O.B. destination during regular work hours, with prior notification provided to the receiving location.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon the last dated signature of the parties and will end on July 31, 2030. The total term of the contract, including any extensions or renewals, shall not exceed ten (10) years.

Place of Performance

The delivery location is specified as the Illinois Department of Transportation District 1 office located at 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, Illinois 62764.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be established manufacturers or authorized dealers capable of servicing what they sell. They must guarantee that they are authorized dealers of the manufacturer and provide proof upon request. Subcontractors are allowed but must comply with specific requirements if their contracts exceed $100,000. Vendors are also required to meet a 3% Business Enterprise Program (BEP) goal associated with this solicitation.
