Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for county-wide public property debris removal and disposal, including: 1. Collection, clearing, separating, loading, hauling, delivering, and unloading all eligible debris from county property and road rights of way. 2. Debris types include vegetative debris, construction and demolition (C&D) debris, hazardous trees (various trunk sizes), hazardous stumps, white goods removal, specialty demolition of private structures, and electronic waste. 3. All operations must comply with safety regulations including OSHA standards. 4. The contractor must provide necessary personnel, equipment, fuels, insurances, permits, and transportation services to safely collect and dispose of debris at county-approved sites. 5. The contractor shall maintain records of all operations including daily reports detailing crew lists, locations of work performed, and cumulative totals of eligible debris removed by category supported by load tickets.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to do business in Mississippi and possess a Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility Number. They must also provide proof of $2 million liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance upon award. Additionally, contractors must furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of at least $1 million each within one week of contract award.
