The City of Farmington is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a Water Treatment Service contract for the Bluffview Power Plant, which is part of the Farmington Electric Utility System (FEUS). Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for supplying water treatment chemicals and providing technical support, including bi-weekly site visits, status reports, and quarterly strategy meetings. They will conduct laboratory tests on condensate, circulating water, RO, and closed loop systems; monitor corrosion rates; supply chemical feed tanks that meet specifications; provide online monitoring equipment capable of generating alarms for chemical levels; and develop a comprehensive water treatment strategy manual. Specific chemicals to be provided include corrosion inhibitors, biocides, anti-scalants, and others as outlined in the RFP. The contractor must ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding water quality and discharge limitations.
