Odlin Road Sidewalk Project

Background

The Odlin Road Sidewalk Project is being issued by the City of Bangor, Maine, through its Engineering Department. The project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility along Odlin Road by constructing a new sidewalk and installing pedestrian signals. The project area extends 0.53 miles from Hammond Street to VIP on Odlin Road.

Work Details

The contract includes the following work items: - Construct a new sidewalk along Odlin Road. - Install new pedestrian signals at the intersection of Hammond Street and Odlin Road. - Place new concrete curbing as specified in the plans. - Install new catch basins and storm drains as indicated in the project specifications. - Perform excavation of existing materials, place fill and gravel where needed, and pave with 2 inches of 9.5mm HMA pavement (by others). - Provide ADA compliant detectable warning fields and curb ramps. - Loam, seed, and perform other incidental work such as removing and relocating signs.

Period of Performance

All work must be completed by October 31, 2026.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed along Odlin Road in Bangor, Maine.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid security of 5% of the total bid price in the form of cash, certified check, or bid bond. The lowest bidder must have successfully completed a Highway or project-specific prequalification for Bangor to be considered for the award.
