Background

The Town of Manchester is seeking bids for the purchase of police uniforms, equipment, and supplies to support the operations of its Police Department. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the police force is adequately equipped with necessary uniforms and gear, which are essential for their duties.

Work Details

The contract involves providing various police uniforms, equipment, and supplies. An initial purchase order will be issued to restock the Police Department's inventory, with additional orders placed as new personnel are added or as new uniforms and equipment are required. Bidders must provide high-quality items that meet specified standards. The Town will provide all patches, chevrons, and service stripes for uniforms, which must be adhered by the contractor. The contractor is also responsible for on-site measuring services for uniform fittings and minor alterations at no additional cost. All items must be free from defects and subject to approval by the Town. Delivery timelines include: - Dress uniforms within 60 days after measuring - Dress uniform shirts within 30 days after measuring - All other items within 45 days after receipt of order Liquidated damages of $50 per day may apply for late deliveries.

Period of Performance

The contract term shall commence upon award and extend through August 31, 2027, with an option to extend annually for up to four additional one-year periods.

The delivery location for all items is the Manchester Police Department at 239 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester, CT 06040.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all federal and state safety standards. They are required to submit a current IRS Form W-9 along with their bid submission. Additionally, bidders must have a valid System Award Management (SAM) number and provide their FEIN or EIN number.
