On-call Concrete Services

Background

The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) is seeking proposals for On-Call Concrete Services to support its mission of providing high-quality healthcare and education. The goal of this contract is to ensure that KUMC has access to reliable concrete services for various projects throughout its campuses, including maintenance and renovation work.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a range of concrete services as outlined in the Scope of Work, which includes: 1. Compliance with American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards for all concrete work. 2. Services encompassing both interior and exterior locations throughout the campus, including flatwork (new or replacement paving, driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps, curbs and gutters, floors, and footings), wall construction (stacked stone or concrete), decorative concrete (polishing, stamping, staining), overlayments (broom finish, stencil overlays), and core drilling. 3. Provision of concrete delivery tickets upon request. 4. Use of various types of reinforcement as specified by the project manager on a project-by-project basis.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for a three-year period with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods, subject to mutual agreement and annual appropriations.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the University of Kansas Medical Center main campus and Fairway Campus located in Kansas City, KS.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed contractors in Kansas and Missouri with a minimum of five years' experience in commercial concrete projects. They must provide references for two recently completed jobs that include contact information. Bidders should also be located within a 30-mile radius of KUMC to ensure timely service.
