Electrical Equipment Services Contract

Background

The Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA), a governmental agency of the State of Oklahoma, is seeking proposals for an Electrical Equipment Services Contract. The mission of GRDA is to provide reliable and affordable electricity while ensuring the safety and efficiency of its operations. The goal of this contract is to furnish electrical equipment services, including maintenance and repair of electrical devices such as motors and transformers, to ensure they operate at optimal performance.

Work Details

The contractor shall provide comprehensive electrical equipment services which include: rewinding, testing, and inspection of electrical devices such as motors and transformers. Services must restore equipment to original operating function or predict failure. Specific tasks include: - Pickup and return delivery of equipment at the contractor's expense. - Standard rebuilds of motors including replacement of bearings, seals, balancing, testing, painting, and thermocouple replacement. - Emergency repairs prioritized for rapid turnaround. - Compliance with EASA standards for all work performed. - Detailed repair reports within seven days post-completion including inspection results and photographic documentation.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue until all services are completed as per the specifications outlined in the RFP. Specific timelines for pickup and return of equipment are defined: units up to 250 HP within seven working days; units over 250 HP within twenty-one working days; emergency repairs prioritized for completion within three working days.

Place of Performance

Services will primarily be performed at the GRDA Grand River Energy Center located near Chouteau, Oklahoma, with potential services at other GRDA locations in Northeast Oklahoma.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate expertise in electrical equipment services with at least five references from similar projects. They must provide proof of insurance and bonding as required by GRDA. Bidders should submit a Non-Collusion Certificate with their proposal and disclose any business relationships that may exist with parties involved in the project. Additionally, bidders must comply with safety requirements including submission of OSHA logs and worker’s compensation experience ratings.
