Education Preparation Partnerships

Background

The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is seeking proposals for the Education Preparation Partnerships project. This initiative aims to transform educational access and outcomes by enhancing teacher preparation pathways to improve instructional effectiveness and meet the district's workforce needs.

Work Details

Contractor will provide services that include credit-bearing academic coursework leading to initial Tennessee teacher licensure, structured clinical experiences, and student teaching placements in MNPS schools. Proposals may target specific high-need content areas and must align with MNPS workforce needs. Services for currently employed MNPS teachers seeking additional endorsements are included, as well as support for individuals with out-of-state licenses transitioning to Tennessee licensure. The program must maintain a graduate placement and three-year retention rate of 85% or greater for participants served under this partnership.

Period of Performance

The contract term will be up to five years, subject to mutual agreement, annual performance review, and funding availability.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools district.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must demonstrate experience in delivering similar services and meet all insurance and contractual obligations. They should comply with MNPS's diversity goals, aiming for at least 60% of enrolled candidates to meet these targets.
