Southwoods Park Disc Golf Improvements

Background

The City of West Des Moines, Iowa, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking bids for the Southwoods Park Disc Golf Improvements project. The goal of the contract is to enhance the existing disc golf course at Southwoods Park by providing various landscaping and construction improvements. Work Details

The Base Bid project includes the construction of improvements at Southwoods Park Disc Golf Course, specifically: seeding, landscape plantings, limestone benches, limestone outcrop steps, roadstone pathways, roadstone around existing concrete pads with minor grading, and granite boulder retaining walls. All work must include necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete the project by September 30, 2026. The contractor must ensure compliance with all plans and specifications approved by City Staff.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence on June 24, 2026, following bid acceptance and must be completed no later than September 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Southwoods Park Disc Golf Course located at 350 S. 35th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate their integrity and experience in similar projects. Non-Iowa contractors must provide proof of authorization by the Secretary of State to conduct business in Iowa prior to contract execution. Bidders are required to submit a fully completed proposal including a scanned copy of the Request For Bid packet with a completed signature page; failure to do so may result in rejection of the bid.
