Background

The City of Tempe is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a two-year contract for onsite and offsite routine and emergency maintenance services, as well as the purchase of related equipment, parts, and supplies for the Severn Trent DeNora sodium hypochlorite disinfection systems utilized by the City Water Utilities Division (WUD). The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of these critical water treatment systems. The resultant contract may be renewed for additional periods as specified in the Special Terms and Conditions of this RFP.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following services: maintenance and cleaning, troubleshooting, repairs, installation, onsite programming, training, cleaning reactors, emergency repairs, and other necessary services. The contractor must be an authorized distributor or reseller of Severn Trent DeNora proprietary and non-proprietary parts and equipment. They should have a minimum of three years' experience maintaining and repairing Severn Trent DeNora disinfection systems. Specific systems involved include the ClorTec CT-DN1500 and CT-750 at South Tempe Water Treatment Plant and ClorTec CT-DN1500 and CT-1500 at Johnny G. Martinez Water Treatment Plant. The contractor must maintain sufficient inventory to support monthly needs with a fill rate of at least 85%. All parts must be new, unopened, in original factory packaging, and field verified for applicability.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and continue for a period of two years. It may be extended unilaterally by the City for an additional ninety days or renewed for up to three additional years at the City's discretion.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at two locations: - South Tempe Water Treatment Plant located at 6600 South Price Road, Tempe, AZ 85283; - Johnny G. Martinez Water Treatment Plant located at 255 East Marigold Lane, Tempe, AZ 85281.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate that they are authorized distributors or resellers of Severn Trent DeNora products with a minimum of three years' experience in maintaining these systems. They must provide a 24/7 emergency contact number for service calls. Additionally, contractors are required to maintain all necessary federal, state, and local licenses relevant to the work performed under this contract.
