Background

The Montgomery County Risk Management Department is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced third party claims administrator (TPA) to support a self-insured on-the-job injury program. The goal is to establish a partnership that enhances the outcome of the program while ensuring compliance with OSHA reporting standards. Montgomery County has opted out of the TN Worker’s Compensation program due to its municipality status and currently utilizes Acrisure Claims Services as its TPA.

Work Details

The selected TPA will provide comprehensive services including: - Establishing a service team to process and pay on-the-job injury claims. - Implementing an information system with online access for Montgomery County Risk Management and stakeholders. - Customizing the online platform to capture key activities in each case, such as communications and changes in reserves. - Ensuring secure storage of claim information and providing statistical reporting capabilities for customized reports. - Initiating online Tennessee first reports of injury and generating required OSHA reports (300, 300a, 301). - Supporting Montgomery County during legal disputes related to OJI claims. - Conducting investigations of claims, maintaining claim files, notifying insurers of significant claims, and assisting in preparing defenses for litigated cases. - Retaining files for up to five years at no additional cost, with options for longer storage if needed.

Period of Performance

The contract term begins upon award and implementation, expected by July 1, 2026, and will end on June 30, 2027. There are four optional renewal years available upon mutual agreement after the initial year.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at Montgomery County Risk Management Department located at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 101-C, Clarksville, TN 37040.
