The Commander, Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) Procurement Group (PG), in support of the Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, intends to procure the on-site evaluation and repair of the GM ENTERPRISES FURNACE HVF301XB Ser # 1-2681-B and Ser#1-2681-C located in Building 4225 of FRCE. Please see N6852026Q1013 Solicitation attached to this notice for the full requirement description. Please submit all questions via e-mail to jeffrey.t.smith6.civ@us.navy.mil. All questions must be submitted no later than 12:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time, 24 June 2026. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to ensure timely Government receipt in accordance with above. The Government is not responsible for responses to questions for which the Offeror did not receive submission confirmation from the Government. Responses to questions will be posted as an update to this announcement via this website. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor this announcement for further information. Summary: Background The Commander, Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) Procurement Group intends to procure on-site evaluation and repair services for two GM Enterprises Furnaces located at the Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) in Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. The goal of the contract is to restore these furnaces to operational status, ensuring their long-term reliability. Work Details The contractor shall perform a comprehensive on-site evaluation and provide detailed reports and quotes as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW). This includes: 1. On-Site Evaluation: Conduct a full evaluation of both furnaces, including diagnostic checks such as Hot Zone Inspection, Vacuum Pumping System Analysis, Control System & Instrumentation testing, Electrical System Inspection, and System Integrity Test. 2. Repairs: Execute all approved repairs as specified in the provided repair quote to bring the furnaces to full operational capability. 3. Deliverables: Provide two separate reports/quotes within thirty business days after the evaluation, including an Evaluation Report detailing findings and a Repair Quote for recommended upgrades and maintenance actions. Period of Performance Phase 1 (On-Site Evaluation) is to be completed within sixty business days from contract award; Phase 2 (Deliverables Submission) must be delivered no later than thirty business days after completion of the on-site evaluation. Place of Performance All on-site work shall be performed at Fleet Readiness Center East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC 28533. Bidder Requirements Bidders must meet the following requirements: Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA); have a minimum of five years of experience in maintenance and repair of high-vacuum furnaces; ensure all personnel have requisite training and certifications; comply with installation security and safety standards; not subcontract any portion of work without prior written consent.
