The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Boulder Campus, seeks a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to repaint and refresh existing pavement markings and safety markings throughout the campus. Work includes repainting roadway centerlines, parking spaces, ADA-accessible parking areas and symbols, stop bars, fire lane curbing and lettering, loading dock safety striping, yellow curbing, and stair tread markings using methyl methacrylate (MMA) pavement marking materials in accordance with the statement of work, drawings, and specifications.

Summary: Background The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is part of the Department of Commerce and operates a research and development facility located at 325 Broadway in Boulder, Colorado. The Office of Facilities and Property Management (OFPM) is responsible for maintaining and renovating spaces within the campus, which includes NIST, NOAA, and NTIA. The goal of this contract is to refresh and repaint existing pavement markings and safety markings throughout the NIST Boulder Campus to ensure safety and compliance with standards. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the Site-Wide Road Painting Project. Specific tasks include: 1. Repainting double yellow lane lines using MMA (methyl-methacrylate) paint over an estimated length of 6900 feet. 2. Repainting 45 existing handicap accessible parking spaces and associated load/unload zones using matching colors (white and blue) in compliance with ADA standards across various parking lots on campus. 3. Repainting 6 existing white stop lines at specified intersections using MMA paint. 4. Repainting 681 existing white parking spaces and 3 motorcycle spaces across multiple parking areas using MMA paint. 5. Repainting all existing red fire lane curbing and associated lettering with matching colors over an estimated length of 1300 feet. 6. Painting existing cargo loading areas with yellow and black diagonal striping over an estimated area of 500 square feet at specified buildings. 7. Painting yellow curbing areas over an estimated length of 1300 feet at designated locations. 8. Painting yellow stair tread noses and risers over an estimated length of 500 feet at various buildings. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the construction projects will be performed (if provided) Place of Performance The work will be performed site-wide on the Boulder, Colorado campus. Bidder Requirements Bidders must meet the following requirements: Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA); possess appropriate contractor licenses; provide bid/payment/performance bonds; comply with safety qualifications; submit a subcontracting plan if applicable; ensure all employees have necessary security clearances; conduct site visits as required.
