Police Records Management System

Background

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, Tennessee (Metro) is seeking to enhance its public services through a Police Records Management System. This initiative is part of the broader mission of Metro's Information Technology Services Department (ITS) to ensure that technology solutions align with existing infrastructure and security protocols while improving service delivery across more than fifty departments and agencies.

Work Details

The proposed Police Records Management System must integrate with Metro's existing Microsoft Active Directory for authentication, utilize Microsoft SQL as the preferred database, and comply with Metro's security policies. The system should support browser-based thin clients, provide robust backup and recovery solutions, and adhere to strict patch management processes. Additionally, any AI components must align with Metro's Responsible AI goals, ensuring accountability, accuracy, equity, security, transparency, and utility. Vendors must provide detailed documentation on system architecture, including network communication requirements and encryption methods.

The contract duration will typically align with the project lifecycle from initiation through implementation and ongoing support.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with Metro's Information Security Agreement Questionnaire for software or hardware provision, network connectivity, or data access/storage. They are required to demonstrate experience with Microsoft technologies and provide documentation on how their solution meets Metro’s security standards.
