CNHS BH Landscape Maintenance

Background

The Cherokee Nation, a federally recognized government of the Cherokee people, is seeking proposals for landscape maintenance services at the Adult Residential Treatment Center in Tahlequah, OK, and the Vinita Recovery Center in Vinita, OK. The contract aims to ensure proper upkeep of the facilities' landscapes as part of the Nation's commitment to maintaining its properties. The service timeframe extends from the date of a fully executed agreement through September 30, 2026, with options for renewal based on performance and funding availability.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, tools, specialized equipment, materials, supplies, supervision, and transportation necessary for landscape maintenance services. Key responsibilities include: 1. A minimum of 30 mowings per year (4 times monthly from April to October and 2 times in November), with the final cut by November 15. 2. Documenting mowing dates in writing. 3. Removing litter and debris before and after each mowing without blowing clippings into porches or walkways. 4. Edging around trees, shrubs, buildings, and sidewalks after each mow. 5. Replacing any damaged trees or shrubs due to improper mowing or edging. 6. Conducting spring cleanup by May 1st that includes leaf removal, cutting back winter growth, applying mulch, cleaning up beds and walkways, reseeding damaged areas, and applying weed inhibitors. 7. Conducting fall cleanup that includes clearing leaves and trimming shrubs and bushes. 8. Monthly brush hogging of adjacent undeveloped property. 9. Advising on reseeding or re-sodding needs. 10. Supplying all herbicides and fertilizers meeting CNHS approval.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to last until September 30, 2026, with an option to renew annually for up to four additional years based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Adult Residential Treatment Center located at 16599 W 820 Rd Tahlequah, OK and the Vinita Recovery Center located at 269 South 7th Street Vinita, OK.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employments Office (TERO) for Indian preference consideration. Additionally, bidders must comply with all local regulations regarding landscaping services and submit a Drug Free Workplace statement with their proposal.
