Work Details

The contract involves the supply of 6,000 feet of 15kV EPR power cable, specifically:

Cable Type

Single conductor, 750 kcmil compressed stranded copper, 15 kV class III 133% insulated with ethylene propylene rubber (EPR). - Specifications include discharge-free or discharge-resistant thermosetting rubber-based elastomer, copper tape shielded, and jacketed. - The cable must be suitable for direct burial in earth, for wet and dry locations, and in open air. - It should comply with ICEA S-97-682-2023 and AEIC CS8-20 standards. - The cable shall be triple extruded for simultaneous application of conductor shield, insulation, and insulation shield. - The central conductor must be uncoated copper with Class B concentric stranding. - The insulation must be thermosetting EPR with specific thickness requirements as per standards. - The jacket material should be sunlight resistant Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE). - Each shipping reel must contain approximately 1,000 feet of cable and meet specified shipping requirements.
