Background

The State of Maine, through its Department of Administrative and Financial Services and Office of State Procurement Services (OSPS), is seeking bids for custodial services at the Ashland Work Centers on behalf of the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. This solicitation is specifically open to certified 'Work Centers' as defined in 5 MRSA §1826-B.2, aiming to provide necessary custodial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in state facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for custodial services at the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife located at 63 Station Hill Rd., Ashland, ME 04732. The approximate cleaning space includes an office area of 6,112 square feet and a bunkhouse area of 2,112 square feet. Services include: - Daily cleaning of common touch areas with EPA-approved germicidal cleaners - Hygienic cleaning of restrooms - Emptying waste baskets - Vacuuming carpets - Sweeping and mopping non-carpeted floors - Low and mid-level dusting - Maintaining kitchenette areas - Periodic tasks such as washing windows and high-level dusting. The contractor must also provide a disaster recovery plan, maintain insurance coverage, ensure proper background checks for employees, and adhere to strict performance evaluations.

Period of Performance

The initial period of performance is from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, with options for up to four one-year extensions based on performance evaluations.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be certified 'Work Centers' as defined in Maine law.
