Wasatch County- Children's Justice Center Construction

Background

Wasatch County is soliciting proposals for construction services to expand the Children's Justice Center (CJC) located at 1540 E 980 S, Heber City, Utah. The existing facility, built in 2005, provides coordinated services during child abuse investigations and was initially supported by community stakeholders. A facility needs assessment has been conducted, and plans for a small expansion have been designed to address identified needs. The county aims to evaluate submissions to select the most qualified provider based on proposal content.

Work Details

The selected general contractor will be responsible for completing the CJC Expansion project with a total budget of $1,600,000 and an estimated construction cost of $1,225,000. The project encompasses approximately 1,000 square feet and includes: 1. Addition of conference space, restrooms, foyer, and an elevator. 2. Associated parking and site improvements. 3. Plan Review Phase: onboarding into schedule development, cost reviews, subcontractor procurement, and community support integration. 4. Construction Phase Services: furnishing and installing all work as per contract documents; expected to begin in October 2026.

Period of Performance

Construction is anticipated to begin in October 2026.
