Background

The City of Ames is seeking quotes for miscellaneous inventory items necessary for Electric Distribution services. The goal of this contract is to procure essential materials that support the city's electric services, ensuring reliable distribution and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.

Work Details

The contract includes the provision of various electric distribution materials such as polymer load break cutouts, termination kits, wire, connectors, brackets, sleeves, clamps, and other related items. Specific items include: - Compression connectors (e.g., Blackburn WR289, WR279, WR379, WR399) in specified quantities. - Connectors for copper 'C' taps (HOMAC #CC22 or approved equivalent). - Aluminum jumper sleeves for specific ACSR sizes. - Brackets for transformers and arresters (Ohio Brass #274471-3003). - Cutout brackets and clamps with specified dimensions and manufacturer requirements. - Insulators with defined specifications (e.g., fiberglass insulators with minimum breaking strength). - Fused cutouts with specific amperage ratings and design requirements. - Termination kits for jacketed concentric neutral cable with strict packaging requirements.
